Downtown has now largely been taken over by the Lunar occupying forces - many of its inhabitants have decamped into Oldtown instead.

Downtown Gazetteer

Barrel O'Brew

D-9

A recently established low class drinking establishment which caters almost exclusively to Lunar soldiers (who are often not welcome in other taverns in town, and are not encouraged to fraternise too much with the locals).  Rumour is that it is actually owned by Kolli the Portly.  It is notable for the poor quality of its barley beer, which is often watered down.  Even if you wanted to drink here, non-soldiers will probably end up at the recieving end of a bar fight.  That doesn't stop the occasional brawl starting out late at night when drunken Orlanthi toughs decide to bait some Lunar soldiers.  The watch cracks down hard on this - non-Lunars caught brawling are sent to the Salt Mines, unless they have seriously wounded a soldier, in which case they are crucified.

Price List

Barley Ale: 4 clacks a pint

Local Wine: 5 clacks for 1/4 pint

Erigio's

D-37

The finest dining experience in New Pavis.  Exceptionally expensive, and with a strict dress and behaviour code.  The chef is Esrolian, and a range of exotic and highly spiced dishes changes depending on availability of ingredients.

It also has several rooms for hire, which are equally well-appointed, although the food is the main attraction.

Now owned by the Lunar Rugbagian family.

Very expensive, but the only place to get a taste of home.

A solid establishment serving good beer and favoured by Lunar soldiers.  Rowdy behaviour is strongly discouraged by the dark troll bouncers.

Moonlighters

D-19

Moonlighters is a relatively new inn on Marble Street in Downtown, started by a Pelorian immigrant family and catering almost exclusively to the Lunar officer class, providing the sort of entertainment establishment that they would expect back in the Heartlands.

It serves the best Pelorian moon-wine in Pavis.

Bouncers rigourously enforce their door policy, excluding non-Lunars or enlisted ranks from entering unless sponsored by a Lunar officer.

There are also some rooms available for rent, only on a long term basis.

Prices for rooms are 650 Lunars for a season, which is normally the shortest period available.

Sable Horn

D-20

Popular with visiting Lunar citizens who can't afford anything else.  The rates are low, and the rooms are basic and spartan, but clean.  The food is nutritious, if uninspiring (the chef served in the Lunar army as a cook), and the drink is poor.

Rooms are 1 Lunar a night, 7 Lunars a week , and 56 Lunars a season.

Price List

Bed in 4 person shared room (per person): 12 clacks per night, 7 Lunars for a week (in advance)

Barley Ale: 7 clacks a pint

Local Wine: 9 clacks for 1/4 pint

Antelope Sausage: 8 clacks

Barley Stew: 6 clacks a bowl

Silken Plume Inn

D-35

The Silken Plume Inn is the best and most exclusive inn in Pavis.  The rates are extortionate, but the facilities are as luxurious as Pavis can allow.

Owned by the Lunar Paloma family.

Rooms are 40 Lunars a night, or 250 Lunars for a week.
